Vogue Thailand's first cover is very fashionably fascinating. And that did not come as a surprise (I mean it in the most positive way). Vogue Thailand's editor-in-chief Kullawit Laosuksri is the man with true love, true passion for fashion. And to say that he, for almost two decades, has been super successful on the international fashion scene is an understatement.
The first issue of Vogue Thailand (official site here) was recently launched — to a great success: "sold out" in days. Its front cover displays a Thai-inspired, tiara-like headdress worn by a Thai model. The headdress looks beautiful, delicate, lively, and fashionably dramatic. It was created by master milliner, Philip Treacy. You can know more about it from this interview with Vogue Thailand's editor-in-chief.
And here are some of what U.S. major media and influential fashion blogs said:
- "The stunning inaugural cover ..." — Huffington Post
- "He has a clear vision for integrating global fashion with local sensibilities, as is evident in his first cover." — Refinery29
- "... he's doing pretty well so far." — Fashionista
- "AndrĂ© Leon Talley, there's hope for you ..." — NYMag's The Cut
The editor-in-chief of Vogue Thailand is also, quote from NYMag's The Cut, "only man currently at the helm of a Vogue [worldwide]." Prior to Vogue, he was Elle Thailand's editor-in-chief and the main force of Elle Thailand Fashion Week.

Vogue Thailand's first cover girl is Si Tanwibool, a Thai model who has become part of the international fashion models circuit

"Tough guys wear pink!" — Vogue Thailand's editor-in-chief Kullawit Laosuksri amusingly said of his own photo which he recently posted on Instagram
